Scalability definition

Scalability is the ability of a process, model, idea or service to cope with the demands of growth. It can be broken down into specific potentials, including geographic scalability – the ability of a system to function properly when diversified across physical boundaries. Scalability in business is generally a desirable quality because efficient growth is a common target.
