Labor Law Posting definition

US employment regulations that require employers to post a range of posters detailing basic employee rights in places frequently seen by staff. The US Department of Labor provides free electronic and printed copies, which are available in several languages.

The Department of Labor also provides its FirstStep Poster Advisor service which helps organisations identify which posters they are obliged to display – this will only cover federal requirements and businesses are encouraged to contact their State Department of Labor to see if there are separate state statutes.

The Department of Labor also provides a fact sheet detailing workplace poster requirements for small businesses and other employers.
