Conference Calls definition

Calls that involve more than two participants – businesses often use conference calls to allow communication between multiple stakeholders. Traditionally expensive, the widespread ubiquity of Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, which send communications down internet lines, has made conference calls far cheaper and easier to organise. Organisations are increasingly using online services to facilitate conference calls, which provide a central number and a PIN code to ensure outsiders can’t gain unauthorised access.
