pp_default1

Some of the software industry’s most innovative small companies saw off competition from global giants in the UK’s biggest awards event that is based on the views of genuine business users.

In the competitive corporate HR and human capital management category, online absence management software provider, TeamSeer, fought off challenges from  Advanced Business Solutions‘ HCM applications, Employment Law Advisory ServicesEmployersafe, ExpenSys, Sage HR‘s SnowdropKCS HR and WhosOff.com.

In the small-to-medium enterprise space, however, staff leave management applications supplier, WhosOff.com, stole the gong from Employment Law Advisory Services’ Employersafe and TeamSeer.

Of the two contenders in the talent management arena, HeadLight stole the limelight from 81Boxes, while Personal Audit Systems‘ P11DOrganiser claimed the accolade from larger vendors such as Sage and Pegasus Software in the corporate payroll grouping.

In the SME payroll category, meanwhile, small, family-run firm The Payroll Site was victorious against established players such as Iris Softwareand Sage.

Organised by HRZone’s publisher Sift Media, in partnership with the software trade association Intellect Technology Association, BASDA, the ICAEW IT Faculty, and online survey specialist ClickTools, the awards were selected based on the views of more than 10,000 business software users.

Diners at the event, held at world famous department store Harrods, were entertained by after dinner speaker Gyles Brandreth. Here are the winners and nominees:
