Shakil (FCIPD, FCCA, DChA) is a values driven, accomplished, award winning HR professional, with over 20 years of experience leading an award winning global HR team in a multi faith, multi ethnic and multi cultural environment . Now an independent consultant, Shakil is able to add value engaging with organisations and individuals with their HR and OD challenges.
Holding two professional qualifications, Shakil has been part of various senior management teams leading on strategic direction, organisational development and change management in multiple organisations having sat on various boards and committees most notably as a board director of one of the largest relief and development charities in the world working in over 40 countries.
In 2016 Shakil was appointed as a trustee for the CIPD where he is the Honorary Treasurer which includes responsibility for the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee. In the community he is a member of Mosaic’s regional leadership group, mentoring and working to raise the aspirations and self-esteem of young people in the most deprived communities.
Shakil is a certified Adair International trainer, MBTI practitioner and has delivered ILM accredited management development programmes and leadership development solutions globally. Featuring in leading HR publications, Shakil has highlighted a number of areas ranging from performance management to diversity and inclusion.
Given his depth of understanding on people issues Shakil has judged both the prestigious HR Excellence Awards and CIPD Awards. An engaging speaker in his area he has spoken at and chaired various HR conferences at a local and international level.
