Dr Achim Preuss is a renowned pioneer in the assessment industry and a visionary practitioner. He is responsible for Aon's Assessment Solutions global product development and its best practice innovations in pre-application attraction and selection, which enable clients to make better talent decisions.
Achim co-founded cut-e Group, a global talent management and assessment specialist, in 2002 and was its Chief Technology Officer when the company was acquired by Aon plc in 2017. He conducted groundbreaking psychological research and drove advances in the company’s product portfolio, in areas such as mobile testing, gamified assessments, new-style situational judgement tests, video assessment, Artificial Intelligence, ‘psychometric fingerprinting’, candidate engagement, data integration and the use of predictive talent analytics.
An experienced and in-demand presenter at the world’s leading psychology conferences and assessment industry events, Achim writes regular articles and opinion pieces in the HR, talent and recruitment media.
Prior to co-founding cut-e, he spent six years at occupational psychometric company SHL Group, latterly as European Director of Product Development. Formerly a business psychology professor at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, Achim holds a degree in psychology and a doctorate in the application of Artificial Intelligence through applied computing science.
