What do you think of your HR software solution?

pp_default1

The HR software community is biting its collective nails, as the countdown to the Software Satisfaction Awards 2009 continues. The voting closes at the end of June – have you completed the survey to ensure your voice is heard?

Voting for this year’s Software Satisfaction Awards (SSAs) will close on 30 June; the die will have been cast, the HR software community will have bitten its nails down to the quick, and the countdown to July’s shortlist unveiling, and the October’s awards ceremony, will begin in earnest.

The SSAs are the awards where you, the HRzone.co.uk readership, have the chance to evaluate your HR software solution. The status of the awards means lifting a trophy is an important goal for business software providers: "For Octopus, the Software Satisfaction Awards is a prestigious event and highly recognised by the UK software industry and its customers," says Geoff Burch of Octopus HR. "Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, so to have the opportunity to enter these awards allows us to measure just how we are really doing."

There are several HR-related categories in the SSAs: Enterprise HR, SME HR, talent management, and web-hosted HR, so there’s always a relevant category for you to vote on. It’s important because, with your feedback, software providers can improve their quality of product, which only benefits you.

Burch added: "To win our related category would be a fantastic acknowledgment of our team’s hard work and attention to detail in all areas of the business, from design & development to sales & marketing through to service & support in looking after our customers and helping them get the most of their systems."

The battle to become top in the talent management category is shaping up to be particularly interesting this year, with several contenders looking to usurp the crown from 2008 victors, SuccessFactors’ ULTRA. One entrant in the category is iCIMS Talent Platform, which finished in fourth place last year. "Since day one, iCIMS has differentiated itself from other vendors by our devotion to unparallel levels of customer support, and has prided itself on providing enterprise-level service for clients of all sizes," says Caitrin O’Sullivan, spokesperson for iCIMS. "Recognition in this year’s Software Satisfaction Awards will serve as a testament to this dedication to keeping our clients satisfied with our product and service."

So if you’re still reading this, and haven’t opened a new window or tab in your web browser to cast your vote, here’s Select Software’s Jane Lacey on why you should: "The Software Satisfaction Awards are voted for by genuine buyers and end-users so they are one of the most meaningful areas of feedback available to software companies like our own.  To win would be a real achievement and one we would want to shout about!"

Voting closes on Tuesday 30 June; to cast your vote, go to the official Software Satisfaction Awards 2009 website.
