Wellbeing definition

An umbrella term used to describe the overall emotional and physical condition of an individual, group or organisation. Improving the wellbeing of employees and the organisation is a major goal of the HR function as there is a perceived link between wellbeing and productivity. Wellbeing initiatives implemented by the HR department often include eye care programmes, private health insurance and motivations for exercise and healthy eating.
