Supplier Diversity definition

Supplier diversity involves providing economic support to suppliers owned by under-represented groups, such as women, veterans and LGBT individuals. Supplier diversity differs from supplier diversification – the latter is concerned with increasing access to a variety of suppliers in an organisation’s supply chain in order to reduce reliance on a small number of businesses and allow the company to respond quicker and more economically to market demands.
