Raj Verma, corporate HR director at Sodexo, will be leaving the UK to take up a role as HR director for the company’s business in Australia and New Zealand.

Verma, who has been with Sodexo since 2007, took up his new post in January 2010.

As corporate HR director in the UK and Ireland, Verma was a key contributor to the development of the HR strategy, modernising Sodexo’s practices and bringing cohesion to HR work across the business.

His responsibilities in this new role will include leadership of the overall HR function and as a member of the executive team, joint accountability for further growing and managing the overall Sodexo business in the region.  As well as HR, Verma will also provide the strategic direction and operational management of the payroll and communications departments.

Verma said, “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role and am looking forward to working in another exciting and progressive part of the wider Sodexo organisation.”
