We have someone moving from one department to another.
I am fairly new to HR but learning lots every day. Any help would be appreciated.
We have agreed that the transition period needs to be reasonable & that we work together with both managers.
The line managers are asking if we keep his original job open or advertise for it - any ideas on this?
I have given him a probation period as per all our new starts - at this point we would send him a new contract as he just has a letter just now.
