Despite negotatiating with Union Reps and a month long consultation, after issuing the agreed handbooks a member of staff who did not raise any concerns has refused to sign the handbook. The reason given is that it no longer contains reference to how contractual terms are to be amended. There is a part whereby it states about Union membership and that there is a recognised Union within the Organisation but the previous handbook stated " contract of employment changes can only be achieved through collective bargaining with recognised trade unions or by personal agreement". This has not been placed in the new handbook. Any ideas???
