Looking for advice, an employee has been sacked, who is 4 and a half months pregnant. She has had no formal warnings, no sanctions of record. Also, she was out with her probationary peroid which ended three and a half weeks earlier. Manager was informed of her pregnancy only 5 days before dismissal. No legitimate reasons were giving for dismissal, and employeee feels had done by and feels as if she had been discriminated against due to her circumstances. Manager failed to inform the rest of the management team that employee was pregnant, and were not informed until after dismissal. She has only been with the business aprox 4 months. Is she able to put in claim for unfair dismissal even though she hasnt been with business for a year?
