How do you support staff with dyslexia?

Hi, I've just joined the forum and hope that this is a really good place to get honest up to date information on how HR managers support staff with dyslexia.  Do you think HR leads are given enough training on the effects of dyslexia on the person and the organisation?  Would love to hear how your organisation approaches support for hidden disabilities. J

Hi Shonette, it was great to get your message in support of my initial question, however disappointing that this hasn't opened up a discussion. I think this reinforces the lack of awareness of dyslexia and the need to support the 10% of the workforce who are affected.

Hi Shonette, with today's news about Starbucks not supporting a member of staff with dyslexia this may be a good time to raise the topic again? I didn't get any response to my question, I believe it's time pressure was put on HR leads to address hidden disabilities and take a hard look at the way they currently offer support and make provision during the recruitment process.
