We have an employee who is contracted to work on a project – funding ends for this project in February.

We have another role suitable which is also a funding reliant role – this is for 3 months.

My questions are:-

If we make person redundant in February, when can we ‘reemploy’ her for the 3 month role? If indeed we can?

I think we would should continue her length of service, offer a new contract for the 3 months (having explained her current role is redundant)and then when the 3 month role comes to end follow the redundancy procedure again?
