We have a mentally disabled person working with the company; due to Health & Safety reasons it was recommended that he temporarily leave his current role until deemed fit enough by a Doctor to return. In the meantime our employee is working in our office doing small clerical tasks. It looks as though he may not be able to return to his actual role and I would like to get an external consultant to do a workplace assessment to assess this person’s capability to work in an office. At present he is capable of filing and helping prepare marketing packs for post. He is not comfortable working with the public [meet and greet] or working a computer. However, we do not know how much of that is because he does not want to rather than ability. Could someone give me a recommendation.
