I am developing a set of management reports based on our people data that will be used to provide information into a corporate manpower planning process. One of the main issues that I need to understand is definitions, eg. who should be included in headcount, how should we deal with reporting people on maternity leave, should Industrial Placement students be included, should all contractors be included in MPE, what is the standard definition for Overtime Equivalent calculation? etc. etc. etc. If anyone has exerience of this I would be grateful for some input.
