I am interested to hear from HR professionals’ on their use and views on systems, software or methodologies for planning, developing and optimising the human resource against business strategy.

What does Manpower Planning (as it was once known)now get called and is it used? Or does the HR manager just react to operational management requests to “find us more” or “lay them off”?

We are looking to include this as a topic on senior management development programmes but there doesn’t seem to be much information of value out there.
