Employee engagement is one of the biggest topics in HR at the moment, as employers have to work harder to attract and retain talent – we’re keen to go beyond the buzzwords and find out what Employee Engagement really means to the HR community.

As part of our commitment to promoting Employee Engagement, we’re hosting a Twitter Q&A at 5pm GMT on Wednesday 8th April – we’ve got several experts lined up for the panel, such as Laura Temple (Global Head of Leadership Engagement, SABMiller), Karin Volo (Bestselling author, Engage!), Susan Hunt Stevens (Founder & CEO, WeSpire), Nik Penhale-Smith (HR author and writer of the popular HRZone article ‘A Personal Perspective on Life Without Managers’) and our very own editor Jamie Lawrence.

We’ll be confirming more names nearer the time, but follow the HRZone Twitter account or our live feed from 5pm (12pm EST) on the 8th April and feel free to contribute your own views to the discussion. What does it mean to be an employee-centric company? Who do you think is doing Employee Engagement well? We’d love to hear your thoughts and examples.

We’ll also be bringing the Employee Engagement Awards and Conference to New York City in June to celebrate the best people-centric companies in the US; if you’d like to see your organisation get recognised, enter them for the awards before April 24!
