Today could be classed as a somewhat historic day, as Tony Blair steps down and Gordon Brown enters Number 10 for the first time as Prime Minister.

There is also speculation that Mr Blair will quit as an MP altogether and become a Middle East peace envoy, which may raise an eyebrow or two.

But what are your thoughts on Gordon Brown’s succession as the new labour leader? What is your ‘HR’ expert opinion on his abilities as a successful leader?

He will be having a cabinet re-shuffle and has apparently promised to create a government “of all the talents” but could this handover from Blair to Brown actually be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire?
