Is there any guidance on spotting fraudulent passports and visas?

Hi all

In view of the impending new legislation on illegal workers, I’m trying to track down some guidance on fraudulent ID documents. The CRB website’s section on “Tips for Document Checkers” is frankly useless, and I’ve not had any luck with government websites or Google.

If anyone knows of a guide which details the features every passport should have, and common signs that it may be fraudulent, please could they direct me to it.
